Our Team

Anthony L. Armo, CPA
Managing Director

As the Firm's managing director, Mr. Armo is responsible for providing the necessary resources, knowledge, and expertise to promote the growth and business success of the Firm and its clients. His extensive contacts in the business and financial communities and his relationships with numerous financial institutions enable him to assist our clients in obtaining the necessary financing assistance to fuel their future growth.

With the experience of managing a successful, growing professional services firm and exposure to a wide diversity of clients and related business issues, Mr. Armo is often able to provide clients with advice and insight regarding key aspects of their business.

Degree and Experience

An honor graduate of Albright College, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Mr. Armo has over 30 years of experience in accounting and business consulting, and eight years of industry experience.

Professional and Community Activities

In the past, Mr. Armo has served as president of the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Muhlenberg Rotary and Muhlenberg Community Library. He has always been active in community affairs and has served on the Board of Directors of the Berks County Chamber of Commerce as treasurer for two terms, and chairman of the Finance and Audit committees for Albright College and Alvernia College. Mr. Armo served as the treasurer of the Berkshire Country Club for six years. He is also a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jessica L. Martin, CPA
Audit Manager

Degree and Experience

Ms. Martin graduated from Villanova University’s College of Commerce and Finance with a major in accounting. She obtained three years of audit experience working for Deloitte and Touche in Philadelphia, PA. Her audit experience consists of working with a diverse client base that included clients in manufacturing, banking and higher education.

Ms. Martin has also obtained nine years of accounting experience in the accounting industry including the last five working for Armo & Company, P.C. She specializes in providing QuickBooks training and services to small and medium size organizations. In addition, she has experience with day-to-day accounting and financial operations, internal audit processes and internal financial reporting.

Professional and Community Activities

Ms. Martin is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She has also served as a volunteer tax preparer, preparing tax returns for low income individuals. Ms. Martin is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Marilyn B. Garcia, CPA
Senior Accountant

Ms. Garcia transitioned to a career in accounting after obtaining 25 years of management level business experience. Her background includes experience in accounting, planning, finance and marketing.

Degree and Experience

Ms. Garcia has a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University with a major in social sciences. Prior to joining Armo & Company, Ms. Garcia completed coursework in taxation, auditing and accounting at Villanova University.

After obtaining her MBA, Ms. Garcia held senior marketing positions at Time Warner Cable and TV Guide. In these positions, she developed and implemented marketing strategies, prepared annual marketing plans, prepared budgets, and projected and analyzed the financial impact of marketing efforts.

Ms. Garcia joined Armo and Company in January 2008. She has participated in audits, reviews and compilations involving a diverse client base. In addition, she has prepared corporate tax returns that include multi-state filings, prepared clients’ financial statements and maintained fixed asset data for clients.

Professional and Community Activities

Ms. Garcia has served on the Boards of the Directors of the Mental Health Association of Reading and Berks County and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Berks County.
